CULTURE:

Last year, the iconic Archie Comics series introduced their first openly gay character Kevin Keller and after an overwhelmingly positive response, we now learn that the blond Riverdale will soon be headlining his own comic mini-series. Dave will discuss the cultural impact this will have on Archie's traditionally conservative readership and image, and how the GLBTIQ community has responded to Kevin.

An Horse Interview, Bossypants and Friends and Benefits

This week on Diff'rent Strokes...

MUSIC:

Jade chats with Kate of An Horse about their sensational new album Walls, how they have grown as a band, and why they're not even sure if they have any Aussie fans left back home.

Take a listen to several new tracks from the Walls LP:

CULTURE:

Jade and Dave check out Tina Fey's hilarious autobiography Bossypants and explains why it's the ultimate for any worshipper of Liz Lemon and 30 Rock. Witty, intelligent and packed with enough awkward personal anecdotes to keep you cringing/gasping for air - this is everything you've ever wanted from our favourite American comedy queen.

ONLINE:

Dave shows love to a new online mini-series "Friends and Benefits" about a young gay man who turns to online dating after a horrid break up and all the drama that comes with finding love in today's scene. I'm sure we can all relate. Can I get an "amen!" up in here?

Be sure to catch the Melbourne-made series as webisodes unfold here on YouTube.

Our Diff'rent Strokes divas may be living life in the limelight now but like many young'ins, they started off working in a fast food joint. Tonight they look at the cultural impact of fast food employment on our generation and reminisce a little on the good, the bad and the greasy.
