Wynter Gordon Interview, Melbourne Graffiti Art and Big Gay News

This week on Diff'rent Strokes...

MUSIC:

Dave catches up with Australia's new fave debutantess of dance: Wynter Gordon! So much has happened since the last time they spoke in December - Wynter's smash 'Dirty Talk' has gone #1 (certified triple platinum sales), she's currently got five songs on our iTunes dance charts, and she's rocking festivals around the world.

Tonight you'll hear Wynter chat about the new single 'Til Death', the story behind her gay pride anthem 'Putting It Out There', and her love for Aussie men.

The full interview transcript will be posted on Dave's blog - Feed Limmy - after 10pm tonight.

CULTURE:

Behind every urbanised block in the world, there lies a little graffiti culture. Tonight, we're checking out Melbourne's graffiti art scene - where it's best found and how it adds to our city's look and identity.

ONLINE:

Jade checks out Big Gay News, a hugely popular daily podcast of LGBTI news, and talks about the impact gay focussed media has on our culture and community.

Emily Williams Interview, Chinese Stuff and Angry Birds App

This week on Diff'rent Strokes...

MUSIC:

The fabulous Emily Williams stops by and chats with us about her summer chic new single 'You're Mine', going solo and lessons learned from her Young Divas days. Download Emily's new single here on iTunes.

CULTURE:

Given that tomorrow is the 15th - and final - day of the Chinese New Year celebrations, Jade and Dave thought they'd check out several essentially Chinese stuff. Think: household items to staple foods, and the must-haves for the festive season.

ONLINE:

Jade checks out Angry Birds - a hugely popular and addictive gameplay app. The game has been downloaded over 50 million times across all platforms and have been described as "one of the great runaway hits of 2010". The best part of this Angry Birds movement is that it's crossing over to other media - think: TV appearances, YouTube parodies etc.

Facebook Friending, Lip Service and Good Hair

This week on Diff'rent Strokes...

ONLINE:

Jade and Dave has a straight up discussion about Facebook friending, privacy settings and - as all our chat about FB usually ends up - Mama Lim's bizarre social networking antics.

TV:

Jade reviews a new lesbian drama Lip Service. The show follows a group of lesbians in Glasgow and the relationships they form in their world. Could this be better than The L Word and more importantly, will it present an acceptable representation of lesbians on TV?

CULTURE:

Anyone who knows Dave knows that he takes great pride in his hair. This week, our quiffed Diff'rent Strokes diva checks out Chris Rock's Good Hair documentary and explores the relationship the black community has with their hair.

We'll talk weaves, relaxer and extensions - get ready to whip your hurr back and forth.
